Look at this beautiful baby!

Alas, my quest to acquire a female CB Silver hasn't borne any fruit yet. :P Why are CB Silvers suddenly worth 2nd- or 3rd-gen Prize dragons, according to people offering them for trade? That seems a little... out of proportion, yet it's all anyone seems to be asking for! o.O I was so pleased when the Prize-mania died down after last year's raffle; now I guess we're in for it again. Makes me really wish there was a "Reasonable (Non-Prize) Trades" section on the Forums!

For once I have tonnes of awesome trade fodder, to boot! (No CB Coppers, unfortunately; that might tempt someone, though it'd be hard to part with them... I need 'em, too!) Yet there's been zero interest, because everybody wants 3G Shimmerscales for their Silvers for everything, Silvers included.

Sigh.

Anyone else had any good luck lately, either breeding or trading? I need cheering up. :D

Congrats for your successfully bred Silver! My Metals don't breed at all at the moment. I have been trying to get a 2nd-gen Gold from Solstice for bloodswapping but no luck. My commons are very diligent, though (see Lovely Commons project) :)

I haven't been looking at trades lately because I got disappointment with the difficulty to find bloodswaps. But I guess people think that due to more Prizes dragons released that the prizes for the Prizes (-> take a look at my limited English vocabulary, wow!) are going to drop. Which I doubt.

But apart from Dragon Cave: I started to play "Tale of Dragons" and caught 2 Ultra Rares and 5 Rares if I can believe the Wiki (Twilight Dragon, Solar Emperor, 2 Bronze Dragons & 3 Silver Dragons), so this cheers me up.

I didn't get the impression that the Prize-mania died down at all, though. All I noticed was that suddenly everybody only wanted 5th gen or lower when it came to trades, then 4th gen or lower, then 3rd gen or lower. One of the reasons why I haven't bred any of mine for a while, excluding special requests.

My own Silvers have been very productive, more than I need, even. I really need an Ice from my Silver/Ice pairings, but they did give me a Silver - again. I'm not complaining, though. *g*

The market is weird and values seem to change every week, so I'm sure you'll be able to trade for a Silver soon~

I'm taking a break from trading, because I guess everyone in the trading forum will be obsessed with the new Prizes for a while, so instead I'm focusing on working on some checkers and today I got very lucky: finally got a 2nd gen Magma from an Albino and a 2nd gen Gold from a Balloon.
Now I just hope they get along with their intended mates and that influence doesn't fail.

I bet that Magma x Albino will look cool once it's built up! I started a Skywing x Albino checker a couple months ago; I should go poke at it!
