September Release

So, three new eggs in three biomes (Alpine, Coast & Volcano), all with the same description:

This egg feels like polished stone.

Damn it. I'm not egg-locked, but I have breeding projects going on and eggs I can't release. But the new ones look really pretty, and I'm curious how they'll turn out.

I normally hunt mine on the :05 drops, but not seeing anything at all during those. Nu bueno! I had to get 3 Alpines on the last hourly one. Now I'm kind of worried about the other 2.

I got the Coast one first, then the Volcano, and now two from the Alpine. Now I have to wait about an hour, then two of my AoCh eggs should hatch. Unless they get sick again, of course. *sigh*

I went Alpine (3), then Volcano (2), then Coast (2). I hunted based on which color I liked most, ending with the orange being my least liked. I wish I'd learned the AP egg placeholder trick ages ago, instead of just a few months ago, it comes in so useful with multi-egg releases.

I was thinking these were going to be rare, based on how few I saw and how fast the hourly drops dried up, but then I realized my clock widget is slow by about 20 seconds, which explains why I was seeing nothing at the 5 minute drops. Once I figured that out, hunting the 5s got so much more productive. Lol.

Yeah, the AP placeholder trick is very useful. Helped me today, too.

I wasn't ready for this release at all, but after thinking about it I decided to abandon 4 recently breed Pygmies and try to get some new eggs.

Luckily I could get easily 2 Alpine ones and 2 Coast ones~

Now I'm hatchling-locked and I don't want to release or freeze anything, so I'll have to wait until tomorrow to try to get some Volcano ones.

I incubated two AoCHs, but of course they got sick, so I'll have to wait a couple of hours (or until tomorrow) to get more eggs. Grrr...

Avatars get sick too easily IMO, that's why I almost never try to incubate them (but every now and then I try again, they end sick and I end too scared to try again for a few weeks...)

Yeah, just like Shimmers and Tinsels. *sigh* I'm simply too impatient sometimes.

I think we all are, since one day makes such a big difference on dc.
Though I think Shimmers and Tinsels are not as fragile as Avatars, even if it's better to keep an eye on them if they are on an ER.

I didn't know there was anything dropping until just now. I got a red alpine one at a :35 minute drop, but the regular ones are already mixing in which is annoying as hell. I hate that the uninterrupted drops don't go on for at least 6-12 hours anymore. More like 3 if we're lucky.

The site seems laggy as hell, so of course, I can't seem to get any more now. Argh. Do not like.

It looks like the mixing has stopped again. But I have had no luck getting another one of any sort. The site is getting laggy for me, and I can't grab anything. I'm hoping maybe I'll have more luck at the hourly drop assuming it doesn't last 12 seconds.

I SEE them in the five minute drops, but can't nab any. :(

I didn't have any eggs -- since he announced the whole random release thing, I just gave up on trying to breed anything. :( Which is why I'd like to catch something, you know? If I have left all my slots open, didn't do anything other than an attempted Summoning (which didn't work), then I'd like to be rewarded for my non-efforts. :)

I'm hoping there will be some luck at some point. I think the new eggies are really pretty. I just want two of each. Sheesh.

It's pretty much the opposite for me - I threw myself back into breeding. Mainly because I haven't liked most of the recent releases. With the exception of Avatars and Undines, so Avatar and Undine breeding was my priority.

But these eggs are so pretty, and I'm really curious.

I had no luck with getting any yellow undines at all. I should've dumped a lot of the last 2G ones I bred, but I forgot and then it was too late. I need to try more, but I just don't have the patience right now. My mom was nice and gave me the one yellow she bred so I have ONE, but other than that, nothing.

The new ones are very pretty. I would like them ON my scroll and not on everyone else's. ;)

Yeah, my first two rounds of breeding I got zero yellow Undines - even with the raised chances (I got eight CBs of each gender instead of my usual four). Got several refuses and little interest. I was lucky enough to trade for two, though. And then I finally managed to breed some of my own, but man, was that frustrating at first.

I did a few rounds, and then just got frustrated. I will go back to it.

I just managed to get my two Coastals, then did not get a single thing at the hourly drop (!!!), but managed four Volcanos at the :05 so am now egglocked. I'm going to swap two of the four Volcanos with my mom later for 2 Alpines, so I'll have 3 Alpines, 2 Coastals, 2 Volcano, she'll have 1 Alpine, 2 Coastals and 4 Volcano with hopes of eventually getting another Alpine later. Hopefully they won't be too rare.

I am not thrilled with this new set up for drops though. *grumbles*
