Looking for Pumpkins and Marrows

I've been hitting the AP in my search but so far am only snagging inbreds or super messy or long lineages. I'd love to add 1-2 2G PB Pumpkins and Marrows to my scroll this year. I missed the year that Marrows dropped, which bums me out as I like them, a lot. I do have CB Pumpkins ( 1 male, 3 females), so those I can do bloodswaps on, if you'd like. :)

I can breed you one of each after my current batch of eggs hatches. I wouldn't need anything in return; I've already got so many breeding plans I am having trouble figuring out how to squeeze them all in!

Okay, cool. My eggs are all incubated so they should start hatching tomorrow evening. As soon as I get a couple of free egg slots, I'll breed your eggs.

I'm really disorganized this year. I thought I had my Halloween pairs all lined up, then suddenly I realized I'd totally forgotten about the Pumpkins, and matched one of my Marrows up with a mate that would have resulted in inbreeding, and I kind of threw up my hands and decided to just breed whatever for myself and my friends and worry about cleaning up the mess later.

I'm feeling the same way. Last month I was thinking about it, then suddenly.. BAM.. it's time. It came up so fast and I wasn't ready for it. Plus I planned poorly with my fogged hatchie Zombie fodder, and I'm going to be cutting it close slot wise, when the new eggs drop Friday. I'd wanted to get some of the past years from the AP as well, to freeze as hatchies this year because some are so freaking cute at that stage, and I have not done that in past years. But.. again, poor planning means that will need to happen next year instead. Course if next year goes by like this year, it will be Halloween 2015 next month. :P

I'm in the same boat! Love the Marrows, completely failed to catch any CBs when they came out, now rooting through the AP for more low-gen or pretty-gen ones. :D

Are there particular pairings or categories you like ("non-Holiday", "non-rare", "rare/uncommon")? If I catch one that's not to my taste, I could toss it your way. I did just pick up a 2G Marrow from a Magi father and while I like the concept (orange = Halloween), orange is just not a colour I'm drawn to so I'll probably let it go again or give it away.

The previous offer stands. Once my eggs are hatched (around this evening), I can breed you a PB 2nd gen Pumpkin. Don't have CB Marrows, though. That was one frustrating Halloween. I tried and tried and tried...nothing to show for it. And I love the Marrows! My favourite Halloween breeds after Shadow Walkers.

Fortunately, I don't do frozen hatchies, so I don't have that to worry about! I caught seven random CB eggs and grew them to adults for zombie fodder -- a couple of extras in case some of them dodge the knife, I don't kill in advance, I just kill and revive on the day. I figure if one dodges, I'll just keep it.

It's my Marrows that are the biggest mess -- they're my favorites, and I keep catching pretties from the AP with no idea what I'm going to pair them with. I've got 2Gs from Frill, from alt Sweetling, a mixed 3G tinsel fail, now this 3G from spriter's alt Wrapping-Wings -- I need to really sit down and plan mates for them all, or else just retire them from breeding.

I'm also trying to breed PB Even gens from all my CBs, and that's taking up a lot of my slots! At least my Cavern Lurkers and Shadow Walkers are done this year. (I'm only taking the Cavern Lurkers to 3G, because I only have 7 of them, and they're my least favorites anyway.) And I've never gotten around to keeping 2Gs from my 4 CB Marrows, because I always end up breeding something else from my CBs. I have 2nd and 3rd gen PBs from the AP and will get around to breeding my own 2nd gens one of these years! I only have one pair of CB pumpkins, but I've caught enough PBs from the AP to go to 5th gen. I kept one 4th gen this year, still trying to decide if I'm going to keep the 2nd 4th gen, or wait until next year. And, I have 4 pairs of CB Graves, so that's four eggs from them. Still trying to decide if I'm going to try to do them all this year. Sigh. Too many dragons, not enough time! That extra egg slot TJ's been teasing us with sure would have come in handy!

I've been mainly looking for 2G PB Marrows, and Pumpkins. Between gifting and AP hunting I've gotten 3, so I'm set, Marrow wise, for this year I think. :) I'm so frustrated with the AP. So many huge, messy lineages out there. Most the Pumpkins I've snagged, and tossed back, have been really messy or inbred like crazy. And of course I'm snagging a lot of the ones I've tossed back previously as well. Found 1 2G PB yesterday, after hunting on and off all day. Hoping for better luck today, since I go back to work tomorrow and can't hunt then.

How's it going on your side? Any luck? What are you looking for, in your Marrow hunt? I can snag them as well, see if I can find what you are looking for. :)

A 2G PB Pumpkin would be fantastic! Between you and Codyne, that will take care of all my Pumpkin needs. :) I'm all set on Marrows now.

Ugh, that is heartbreaking! I missed out because I was burnt out on DC at that point. I missed Marrows and the Val's that came out that year because I quit playing for a while. And while I don't mind, on the Vals, because I am not a fan of that years Val, too frilly and pastel, I am so mad at myself over the Marrows. Yours is worse though, because you were here, and tried, and the punks eluded you. :(

And really, I like the Magi dragons; I have a Magi/Magma project and overall I do enjoy the sprite.

Just not with such a... dark partner as the other half. :D

I'm definitely looking for PBs, but I also think they'd be lovely with Pyropes, or Brutes, or metals! And I'm hunting 2G Shadow Walkers, too; so far I've found a couple 2Gs but not with partners I like. (Am gonna hit the forums and see if anyone wants to trade for the one with a Wrapping-Wing parent, since Christmas X Halloween pairs seem to be surprisingly popular.) I'd rreeaaallly like to find a 2G Shadow Walker with a Falconiform dad in the AP, but I have a feeling I'm out of luck there!

And Pumpkins, too - PB is definitely at the top of my list, but I think I'd also like to find one with a Misfit parent if possible.

Yeah, I'm still bummed about that. Marrows and Sweetlings were the only ones I didn't catch despite spending hours on DC. And in case of Sweetlings, it wasn't even because of hoarders, too! But that was before the biomes and with a slow connection. *sigh*

That was the only val drop I missed. Mine are 2g, unfortunately. Any other mates or pairings you'd like? I have cb of all the weenies aside from marrow, and all the vals aside from rosebuds. And cbs of pretty much all the other holidays aside from holly, of course.

Someone from the Forums had actually said they'd gift me one, but in the early breeding-glitch she got Falconiform eggs and released them instead of waiting for the fix, so I ended up not receiving one after all.

I had already given up on that lineage due to refusals, but just now I caught a very pretty egg from the AP, and that lineage is back in the running again.
