New breeds: discussion

What do you think of the new species, now that you've had time to catch and raise some? Or have you managed to catch any?

Anyone having new breeding project ideas, or interested in 2nd-gen offspring?

Personally, I like the Lumina dragons, and love the wyverns! My happiness with the former is partly due to convenience (I have a white-and-gold-tone lineage in mind, and this would be a neat addition!), and I think the butt-wings are kind of silly, but overall I really like them anyway.

The wyverns are so awesome I want one in real life -- the markings and the dramatic poses blow me away. ...Anyone wanna give me more of them? :D I think they were harder to acquire than the Lumina eggs; my ratio turned out to be 2:1 Lumina to Tsunami!

I've only picked up Lumina dragons and Tsunami dragons so far, but I plan to breed myself some Ultraviolets soon.
I was a little disappointed to see the Lumina dragons, actually, because it reminded me enough of this dragon idea I'd just started working on and hadn't submitted as an actual request topic yet. |D; Obviously, that one was done well ahead of time! Still a little disappointing.

I love the look of the female Ultraviolet sprite, but I don't like the male very much. Lumina dragons are okay; they're nice, but for some reason, the sprite doesn't thrill me. The Tsunami dragons really are great. <3

Haven't thought of a breeding project for any of the new ones, yet; I'm still working on the projects I took on before.

So, the Ultraviolets are really ugly, the Lumina are okay but nothing more and the Tsunami are really cool. I'll collect my usual number of each, though I don't know about breeding yet.

My favourites from this release are the Tsunamis. It often happens that I like the sprites better when I see them lined up horizontally in TJ's posts than listed vertically in my scroll and this is certainly the case this time.

I am collecting my usual number of caveborns and I'll breed them if people request them, but I am not particularly interested in breeding projects myself.

The Tsunamis are definitely my favourites, too! I keep trying to get a couple more, but so far no luck.

(And somehow I doubt that they will ever become common, given how pretty they are!)

I'm still on the lookout for a few more, because they also seem to be the harder to get. (Alas!)

Unlike the Lumina, whose colours were fortuitous, I don't have any breeding projects in mind for the Tsunamis. (Yet.) It's kind of funny how that worked out, but I guess if I had to choose between "catch a dozen of the gorgeous but not needed for breeding species" and "catch a dozen of the relatively pretty and immediately useful in breeding projects species", I'd pick the latter.

After all, I can always build up my Tsunami stock slowly, or wait till I have a breeding project outline and then acquire non-CB ones that fit the bill!
