Just sharing this in case you have not seen it on the forums today. :)

Interesting things happen when you breed or try to breed a Turp with a Lumina.

And since it says "They are vain, always strutting about and preening incessantly; if one of their scales has so much as a scratch or a defect, they’ll remove it. Luckily, their scales grow back quickly, and each new growth is more beautiful than the last." in their description I am curious how it will play out. Will the scales grow back in new colors or will they remain tan permanently. This is pretty nifty! :)

X-posting to a LJ Dragon comm. too, so apologies if you see it twice.

I turned one of mine tan, too! I'm going to wait on any others until I see when/if they change back. I'm also curious whether they'll breed tan babies. ::Watches egg intently::

I got a Lumina egg. I'm kind of hoping that the adults go back to their original colors eventually, but the eggs grow up to be tan. I don't want to have to try to collect another 4 CB Luminae so I can have 2 CB pairs of each color! Either way, though, it's fun to see how they turn out.

Thanks for the heads up! I have just tried with mine and changed two of my Lumina dragons.

ETA:

Apparently the scales grow back after 24 hours.
