wanted: new "shimmer" egg

I will give a kidney (or the next Gold or Legendary egg I breed, your pick!) to the person who can catch one of the new "this egg shimmers like gold" eggs from the Alpine drop! I have been trying for about six hours now and my connection gets slower every time, so I think there's just no way that I'll manage. *sadface*

Please please pretty pretty please?! I am pathetic but I am also able to give you many nifty dragons, so take pity on me?

I've only been able to get one of the new eggs so far (a moonlight one), because I'm locked for another couple of hours. I figure the frenzy will die down in another day or so and it will get easier. They're not limited edition eggs, so there will be plenty of time to catch them later.

If you still need them once I've been able to catch a couple for myself, I'll try to help then.

Awesome. Hopefully the connection will get better before the drops slow down to a trickle; but as I'm already starting to see more commons mixed in I was getting worried.

I may even have an extra "moonlight" egg if you need one; I fear it is very hard to precision-click when also trying to beat the millions of other clickers, so at least once I've clicked on what I thought was (going to be) a Shimmer but turned out to be a Moonlight. :D

I just unlocked and caught myself a shimmering egg, and now I'm locked again. :) It wasn't as hard as I feared, I saw quite a few in the hourly drop. I have another egg hatching in about an hour and a half, so I can try again. I like to have at least 2 CB pairs of each breed, but once I get one pair of each, I'll take a break and try to catch you one.

I'm really tempted to drop these three CB pebble eggs I caught for Neglected experiments... they'll probably die anyway, and they're taking up my egg slots! But I've already had them for two and a half days, and I don't want to waste the time I've invested in them. So I'll just be patient.

I know what you mean about misclicks -- especially when the eggs are zooming by so quickly. I clicked on a few moonlights when trying for a shimmer, too, but fortunately someone else grabbed them first.

I have exactly the opposite problem. Caught three gold shimmer eggs right away but had no luck at all with the moonlight ones. Now that the frenzy has slowed down a bit I finally got one, too. As I still have two slots open, I'll try my best to catch more, so if you want, you can have a shimmer one from me.

Ugh, is 3:15am cave time, 12:15am my time and there is still 250+ people in the Alpine biome. Go to bed people so I can get at least 1 new egg! *grumble*grin*

Okay, so even this many days after the eggs began dropping and there are only 100+ people in the Alpine biome (even at 5 & 6am CST), I seem to also be unable to catch one of the 'shimmer' eggs.

I have an extra 'moonlight' that I'd be willing to trade for a 'shimmer' if anyone out there would be kind enough to do that. Or if there's something else I could breed from my scroll, would happily do that as well.

Apparently my luck between catching the 'moonlight' ones and the 'shimmer' ones continues - caught two more moonlights and still zero shimmers.

My luck's the same -- caught another Moonlight (by accident -- thought it was going to be a Shimmer), but no Shimmers so far.

I haven't given up trying, though!

Same here...I'm now scroll locked with moonlights until my first moonlight catch hatches. But I'll try again once I've got slots free.
