Solstice Trade?

Caught another pretty 2nd gen Solstice from Green Copper on the AP. I'm inclined to keep it, but there are things I want more. Like one last Solstice from Gold. Or a Solstice from Shadow Walker. Any of you interested in a trade?

I've got one Solstice available to breed, now that I found my GoN x Solstice on the AP. I'm locked for another 13 hours, though and won't be able to breed until tomorrow. I'd be happy to breed her with a Shadow Walker for you then.

I would love that! Then I'd have two (just traded one for a Solstice from Radiant Angel I found on the AP) and could create a 4th gen with my own SWs.

I'm egglocked as well, atm. I'm waiting for a transfer to be claimed, and my next one hatches in five hours, but by then I'll be in bed.

But overall I'm very very happy with my haul, both with the AP catches and the trades!

Okay, I'll breed my Solstice for you as soon as I get an open space.

I'm really happy with my haul so far, too -- and happy that we can go on collecting more, since we only need two slots for the new dragons, and they'll drop for three days. I love AP hunting during events! So much fun to pick up eggs and see what their lineages are. I'm trying to get at least two of each breed, which I'll have once I breed a few more for myself, plus some extras of whatever catches my eye.

Me too! But this time, hm...either TJ made some changes, or people are more restrained with breeding (I certainly am, because of possible trades), because the usual permanent wall of Holidays is a rather fluctuating thing?

But I caught many pretties so far, and I hope for some more. I'm concentrating on Solstices exclusively for the moment, though. Maybe later on I will hunt for others, but right now? All Solstice all the way! *g*

I think TJ made some changes -- or at least, he was experimenting with adding the low-time non-holiday eggs back into the AP at intervals, because several times as I was hunting I saw the page change suddenly from wall-of-holidays to wall-of-non-holidays and back again. Remember at Halloween, some of the regular eggs ran out of time and died behind the Halloween wall, and some people were upset about it, so I think he's trying to make sure the regular eggs get pulled to the front before they run out of time.

I'm not sure I remember Holidays and Valentines being solid walls all the way through breeding. Halloweens were, because there are just so many more of them. (Although this year was the first year they clogged the AP for days after breeding stopped!) The populations of Holidays and Valentines are smaller, since the CBs are limited. I think regular eggs have always sneaked in from time to time.

But it's possible also that people are putting off breeding -- I know I am, as well, just because I'm getting locked with AP catches and don't have slots for gifting. I'll probably breed off the rest of mine on Christmas, once I've given away all that I can.

No, definitely not the Valentines. But that's no surprise, they drop for one day only, so less people had a chance at picking them up - instead of Christmas dragons, which always got a three-day drop. So holiday wall definitely yes, which used to frustrate me before, when we could only have two of each.

But yeah, I can understand that people were upset about eggs dying behind the scenes. And I've been tempted to snag the odd Speckle Throat and put it into the ER, if I wasn't pretty much constantly egg-locked.

I think you're right about people putting off breeding -- I was just browsing the News thread, and a lot of people were saying the same thing -- they're not breeding because they're locked and want to wait until they can keep/gift their eggs. A lot of people seem to be planning to breed on Christmas -- we'll no doubt see a surge in the AP then. It would be nice if the holidays in the AP lasted long enough to pick up one last batch of eggs after hatching the new ones, but there may not be enough for that. We'll see! I bet next year we will.
