I can't believe how many hollies I managed to snag (most of them messy, but still...) The only way I could catch any was on my Kindle, but that worked really well.

I caught way more Hollies than I ever thought I would, too! Ended up keeping 5, eek! I didn't mean to keep so many, but I couldn't stop clicking on them and a few I couldn't bring myself to throw back. Anyway, my four Hollies bred 14 eggs, so I figure I contributed more than I kept.

I just sent one back. The present thing is so cute. Sometimes TJ actually has good ideas. :)

I caught 3 or 4 for myself, 3 or 4 for my mom, and two for s friend. I had two from last year, so bred them, as well as the one my friend gave me 2 years ago which I'd waited for years to get an egg from. I didn't mean to keep so many either, but it was kind of addicting to keep trying for them. I actually threw a few which were super messy back. I never thought I'd be fussy!

My one big thing was getting this boy in the AP. I couldn't even trade for anything because nothing I had was good enough, so to get a 4G Holly by chance was a huge deal for me.

Yeah, I like sending presents! Something to do now that breeding is over and I've got my two new eggs. (Of course, I'm still hunting the AP. I'd like to get one more Ribbon Dancer, then I'll have at least three of each breed. No particular lineage I'm looking for, I'm just sifting through the AP and when one catches my fancy I'll keep it.)

Congrats on the 4G Holly! That's a pretty one. My best AP Holly was this 3EG Holly with Marrows. I've already planned what I'm going to do for a mate. I also caught a 5G alternating stair with Horses and Albinos, a 6G Thuwed spiral, and last night I picked up a 6EG Thuwed mixed lineage with lots of holidays and a spriter's alt Snow Angel. I've already decided on a mate -- I've got a 6EG Dorkface silver Tinsel with spriter's alt Tinsel and Ribbon Dancers and lots of holidays that I think will look really neat with it. I like big Even Gens like that, I think it's fun to make them huge and interesting!

I'm having fun with the presents because they're all so pretty, and I can't do much with breeding now. I was still hunting the AP, but had to go do some stuff, and when I came back tonight, TJ had released the non-Christmas eggs. They're now around day 3, when I first saw them, they were like 1+ day left. I was doing the same thing though: looking for lineages/pairings that seemed pretty or interesting. My mom still had some room on her scroll, so she was disappointed that she couldn't get any last eggs in. Unless something pops up again.

which is gorgeous, but I can't imagine she'll ever manage a mate for it. Unless it's a non-holly, non-gold mate. (I have 2 cb male golds, but that's it).

Overall, I can't complain, and next year, I will be gifting progeny to people just because I can now. Yours sound so nice though. :) I couldn't have done it without my Kindle. I don't know why doing it that way would make it go faster esp since I have a pretty good connection, but I am not complaining.

Now all I need to find is my damn CB gold egg. :)

Oh, wow, that Gold x Holly checker is gorgeous! Let's see, once one of my new Snow Angels grows up, I'll be able to breed 4EG Gold x Snow Angel checker, that might make a decent mate. Or a 4EG Marrow x Gold checker. Hm. Oh! I've got the 2Gs to breed a 3EG Heartseeker x Gold checker -- if I do a Heartseeker swap on Valentines, I should be able to breed a 4EG Gold eventually. That would look pretty good, I think. Better if it was a 4EG Heartseeker, but I can't breed that until another year. Maybe one will turn up in the AP. Anyway, if you decide to try to breed something and need some help, or if you're interested in any of the above, let me know!

I'm really pleased with my haul of Holidays! I did eventually get three of each breed, except for Hollies, which I ended up with five. My final Ribbon Dancer was this one, who is going to be a mate for this Winter Magi I picked up last year. A lucky find at the very end!

Oh man, that would be amazing! :) I'll have to see if I can start working on it, then begging and pleading for mates. Mom has no CB golds at all, so it'll be up to me. :)

If you like the Gold x Pink checker, I can breed you a 4th gen Gold. I've gotten a Pink from them but not a Gold so far, but I haven't really bred them very often. Anyway, we've got all year until next Christmas before she really needs it! I'd be happy to do it, I love to help pretty Even Gens get the mates they need to breed more pretties!

Yeah, that would be fantastic. I can try to breed my golds with pinks to help things along. I am so confused by breeding things on DC. I've been playing since 2008, but only recently really started to pay attention to breeding and patterns and such. I'm ok with simple stuff like stairs, but after that, I'm so confused. :)

Okay, I'll do that. I have the 3rd gen pair already, so all I need to do is breed them until they give me a Gold, and we're all set. I tried them the other day but got a Pink, so I'll just keep trying, and let you know when I get a Gold from them.

I had NO LUCK WHATSOEVER catching Hollies - every one I clicked on gave me the 'try as you might' message (even when half of them showed back up on the AP within the next thirty seconds).

I had no luck on my laptop whatsoever -- but last year, I discovered that it was easier to do it on my Kindle, and was able to catch 2. So I kept at it again this year, even though it was a pain in the ass to keep logging in/logging out between computers and Kindle. Otherwise, I'd still be without any except for the one my friend gave me.

I'll be very happy to breed something for you next year. I know, it's a long way off, but I'd rather gift one to someone who wants it than to let all the eggs go to the AP.

I caught ONE SINGLE SOLITARY HOLLY in seven days of trying! And not a gorgeous lineage, either. I dunno what secret you good catchers have, but I'm jealous! :D

On the other hand, my contest prize Holly is more gorgeous than I expected, so I'm extremely pleased on her account!

I was able to catch several for myself, several for my mom, and for one friend, but only on my Kindle. On my regular laptop, I could barely catch anything from the AP. It was terrible.

I got one really nice lineage (a 4G stair with Black line), everything else is kind of messy or very long lines, but that's okay. I'm honestly more frustrated that I still don't have a single female CB gold egg than anything else.

Having a CB contest prize Holly is beyond awesome! I'm jealous! :) That's fantastic!

There were definitely more Hollies to be had this year. It makes sense given there are more every year, they all have 2-4 eggs which are snatched up, and then *they* make more eggs... I am really happy that we can have as many older Xmas eggs as we want now because I like catching them and adding to my army. ;)

I just sent one to you earlier -- I thought I had yesterday, but it was to the name "Phaeton" not HPhaeton, so someone who doesn't know me got something pretty. Which is fine. I'm spending my last mana on random ones just to make people's days. :)
