I wanted to get at least three of each breed, which I did, along with two extra Hollies because I just couldn't stop clicking on them! Here's my haul:

Hollies:
5G stair with alternating Horses and Albinos
6G Thuwed spiral with winters
3EG with Marrows Have a plan to build a mirror mate with Royal Crimsons along the bottom.
2G from White Self-bred, will trade for a mate
6EG Thuwed mixed Will breed her with this 6EG silver Tinsel

Yulebucks:
3EG Yulebuck x Pink checker with Bright Pink bases Already have dragons to breed him a mate! 4EG next Christmas!
2G Yulebuck x Valentine09 As I have neither CB Yulebucks nor Valentine09s, I will be hunting/trading/begging a mate for him come Valentine's.
3EG Yulebuck x Gold checker Self-bred, tried to make a lineage swap but failed, so I will try to breed a Gold for a lineage swap later.

Snow Angels:
3EG from Heartseeker x Gold and Heartseeker x Snow Angel So pretty, I had to immediately breed one of my Snow Angels with a Heartseeker so I can breed her a matching mate with a 2G Heartseeker from Gold at Valentine's.
2G Heartseeker x Snow Angel And this is the Snow Angel I bred.
3EG Gold x Snow Angel checker Lineage swap with my Gold x Snow Angel pair, already have the Gold for her mate.

Ribbon Dancers:
2G Heartseeker x Ribbon Dancer Seems I like Heartseeker pairings! Will breed her a mate at Valentine's.
3EG Sweetling x Ribbon Dancer checker with 2 alt Sweetlings Too pretty to give up, I will have to try to find her a mate at Valentine's.
5G Stair with Bronze Shimmers Picked her up to be a mate for this 5G Stair Winter Magi with Bronze Tinsels I picked up last year.

Winter Magis:
2G Winter Magi x Gold
3EG from Winter Magi x Rosebud and alt Desipis x GoN Had to keep it for the spriter's alt Desipis. Plan to breed a mirror with Sweetling x Gold at the bottom to mirror the Winter Magi x Rosebud at the top.
3EG Winter Magi x Gold Tinsel and Winter Magi x Gold Will breed a Winter Magi x Gold checker as a mate.

Wrapping-Wings:
2G Wrapping-Wing x Arsani Mate for the 2G Arsani from Wrapping-Wing I picked up last Valentine's.
2G Wrapping-Wing x Mint Because Wrapping-Wing x Mint is so cute! Just need to breed him a mate and then I can breed a mate for the guy below.
3EG Wrapping-Wing x Mint checker Self-bred. Next year, 4EG!

Solstices:
2G GoN x Solstice Have the mate already.
2G Silver x Solstice Self-bred, will need to breed a mate also.
2G Radiant Angel x Solstice Will breed a mate at Valentine's.

Whew! Ended up with a lot of Holiday x Valentine pairings, so I'll have to make sure I breed/catch/trade for all the mates I need when Valentine breeding rolls around. Really happy with all my pretty new Holidays!

Thanks! I love AP hunting during holidays. So many pretties to choose from! I'm always finding these interesting 3rd gens and such that I grab and then go, what the heck am I going to do for a mate? Breeding and trading to build the perfect mates for them keeps me busy for months after the holiday!

The Yulebuck x Bright Pink lineage is fairly popular, so you shouldn't have too much trouble finding a mate. In fact, someone's trading a 3EG pink from Yulebuck x Bright Pink checker in the Even Gens Trading and Gifting thread right now, only it has Bright Pink in the 2nd generation, too. I wish I could help, but I only have the one 2nd gen pair, and that's their baby you've got there.

I still can't believe how lucky I was this year, maybe because I still remember trying to catch any Holly for three years without any luck. And now I even got some very pretty ones.

This was the first one, a stair with Golden Wyverns.
After that I caught this, but I traded it since I avoid HolidayxHoliday parings not matter how pretty they're.
I still ended with two 3gen checkers: one with Red Nebulas and other with Green Coppers

After that I was sure that was all for this year, but the my DC Christmas wish came true and I caught my first 2ng gen.

I really can't complain at all.

I haven't been able to spend a lot of time at the cave these hols, so no AP treasures for me, I am afraid. Nevertheless, I managed to summon a GON,and I traded for a 4th gen SS Holly from Whites, so I am pretty pleased! :-D

I went into it hunting and trading for Solstices exclusively, and was very happy at first. But with the changes all my breeding plans went down the drain. To console myself I caught a few others for freezing, but all in all I'm so damn disappointed. And on top of it all, I think the new dragons are so very ugly. So, not happy with my holiday haul at all, I'm afraid.

I'm not a fan of this years Xmas dragon either. It's *OK* but I don't think I'll go for more next year, aside from a couple to freeze as S1 and S2s.

The upside for the Solstice SURPRISE is TJ saying him and Odeen have come up with a fix, it will be based on day/night egg breeding, and means you can still get both colors. However he is also saying he may make it retroactive, but I hope not, or he at least allows us to opt in to that. I love the original the best, but the blues have grown on me and I want to keep the ones I have, not have them changed.

I would love a fix, that wouldn't completely ruin Solstice breeding for me. And making it retroactive means I would have a chance that at least a few of mine turn out the colour I want, and I wouldn't have to start from the beginning again.

I don't actually hate the blue ones, but the wings look so much bulkier like that. And I did breed a Solstice x Gold checker, just to see how it looked like, and promptly traded it away because I was so unhappy.

Wow, what a lot of gorgeous dragons everyone has!

Here are some highlights from me.

First and foremost: my Dorsal-Contest Holly! Since I came in 12th, I wasn't anticipating quite so awesome a prize; I had to make a list of my top 12 choices, but ended up getting my #6 selection. I'm ecstatic! Just look at her. *beams like a stupid-proud parent*

Second: my first-ever (and still only) AP-caught Holly happened this year! Not the most lovely of lineages, but not as bad as some out there!

Other stuff:

Made a bloodswap for this 3G Winter Magi, so I can breed him a mate come January (or whenever) from my own stock!

Not one but two Solstices from Gold! With the new wing colours for 2nd-gen Solstices, I love this combo even more, so this is extra-good.

Likewise, I managed to catch a pair of 2G Solstices from Silvers!

This beautiful even-gen Snow Angel from Green Nebulae was also an AP find!

I traded a high-gen Solstice for this lovely 3rd gen Yulebuck!

And, of course, I'm excited about this year's Christmas dragons, too - another non-red species, yay! Looks like it might be a pine-themed dragon? Cute!

Not technically a holiday catch, but related: I received this White egg with two alt grandparents as a gift! Am very excited but nervous about the prospect of creating a mate!

waw, beautiful hollies everyone! Mine weren't beautiful lineages :( I was promised some, but didn't get them - it was a free promise, so no bad feelings about it, hopefully 'this' year better luck in the AP :-)
