Breeding Projects

Hello everybody!

Since there are no imminent holidays (and hopefully no new releases) I'm working on breeding projects.

1) Undine with alternating gens. so, all CB are obviously green, the next gen I want all yellow, then all green again. in case someone has bred this I'm interested in bloodswaps. Pity you don't see the color until they hatch.

2) I'm trying for a stripe/flamingo checker. Luckily they breed white eggs, however so far I've ONLY gotten stripes. Are the stripes somehow dominant or am I just having bad luck? If someone wants to breed me a flamingo from male stripe/female Flamingo I wouldn't say no. And if someone wants my superfluous stripe eggs, holla.

3) I'm thinking of a checker with Sunrise/Sunset, which is crazy because I'm really bad with dragons that are time related. Do you think I should go for it anyway, or do you have suggestions of similar colored dragons?

not current projects, but I'm going through my new Valentines, thinking what to do and could use some input:

I can breed you a sibling to this Undine and you can hope it turns yellow... Or I can breed you sibs of its parents, which will most likely turn green, and you can play the alt lotto yourself with their offspring!

I think a Sunrise/Sunset checker would be really pretty! As long as you get the timing right, you can always control the breed you get, which is easier than just hoping for the right breed.

How about a sibling to this Black as a mate for your Sweetling?

I can also try breeding you a Gold from Heartseeker at some point... I need to sort out which, if any, of my female CB Golds is available for breeding. I'm trying to breed myself some 2G Golds as mates for holidays I've picked up, and I think they're all on cooldown at the moment.

I should have some Stripe x Flamingo pairs available... Okay, I tried two Stripe x Flamingo pairs and got two flamingos. PMing you a transfer link. I have four other pairs I could try, if you need more.

oooh, pretty Undine! I'd actually prefer the parents, I don't want to ask you to keep on breeding until you get it yellow. (I hope I didn't jinx it and they turn out yellow haha)

gosh yes, I'd like that black!

yeah, no stress on the gold. it's after all almost a whole year to valentines and I can always use another breed.

I guess I'll try for the sunset/sunrise. I mean all I have to do is fog them and then not forget them until they die. ^^"

Okay, just let me know when you have room, and I'll breed you the 3G Undines and the Black for your Sweetling. (I'll be happy to replace the Undines if they turn yellow -- I'm sure it won't take too many breedings to get greens!)

And I'll get to the Gold when I can. I have one pair that's already produced a Gold, so I know I can breed it, it's just a matter of how long it takes for them to cooperate.

Oooh! What you're doing with Undines is actually what I've started doing with Sunrise/Sunsets! I have this Sunset pair from Sunrises which I intend to breed for a Sunrise offspring...

And I have, by accident, sorta, done the same thing with Undines: I have this male and this female whom I plan to breed, hopefully resulting in yellow offspring! Maybe we could do a bloodswap at some future point?

Ahh, whoops! Didn't mean to link both the sibs. I have enough to breed a mate for either of them, I just haven't done it yet. :D

heh happens to me all the time that I have way too many dragon tabs open and get confused about what I'm linking.

Heh, yeah, something about DC seems to attract a bad case of the "too many tabs" syndrome! :D

I meant to write the sentence with links with more explanation, i.e. that I have the siblings and can breed a mate (and even if the mate resists Influence I'll still be able to breed). But oh, well! I guess the point still stands. :D

Once I've got a few breeding slots open again, I'll try for the needed mate; maybe later this week or next week?

yep yep like I said I am up to bloodswaps, but it might take a while on my end; half my second gens hatched green... :|
