April Release

I'll be honest, I didn't expect one any more after yesterday went by without. But yeah, one new breed for April:

This delicately patterned egg is sitting in the sunshine. - Desert, Forest & Jungle

And now I'm thinking of abandoning my bred eggs... Did so and caught my seven. Took about half an hour with the lag, but oh, they are so pretty! Beautiful green!

I'm kinda burnt out with DC so luckily all my slots were open. I went with 3 from the Desert and 2 from both of the others. Not a huge fan of green, but these are pretty with the patterning on them.

That lag is just getting worse and worse in the cave. The top of the hour lag is nuts. I watched 45 seconds go by before it actually loaded. The 5 minute ones lagged as well, but not nearly as bad.

I didn't even pay attention to where I got them from, just tried my luck wherever were the least people at the moment. Noticed the same thing as you - at one point, an entire minute went by before it loaded for me. I'm still astonished I already got so many eggs.

I get a news notifications about changing the backgrounds and time down, but for some reason I don't get them when a new eggs are dropping. I have managed to catch six eggs and will try to get the 7th later.

And just to make you smile, my 6th egg has the code "4shit" :D

I have decided to trade it. I put it up for trade on the odd codes thread on the forum and somebody offered me a 2nd gen Silver tinsel, so I'm taking the offer.

Well, they offered an IOU with my choice of mate, so I don't know when I'll get the egg. I've chosen the Striped River dragon from last month's release.

Yeah, they don't last very long any more. I don't know, about six hours or what? And then the regular eggs get mixed back in.

the drop was longer last time, because I missed that release too and they were still going the next day. but this time, nothing but old eggs. :(
and I'm not even finished collecting gems. honestly, the game isn't a lot of fun atm.

Maybe they were still going because it was three new breeds, one of which with three colours? And this time it's only one new breed? Or maybe it's going to be a rare breed. *sigh*

For it's plenty of fun, had my gems all pretty fast. The only thing I'm not happy about are the site skins. I want my olf default back.

Me, too, STILL. It's ridiculous that people who loved the Dino Cave get to keep theirs but we who loved the old default - many for YEARS - won't have ours.
Too bad that TJ only seems to consider things he suggests himself. My opinion changed a bit over the past months, I think he's rather an idiot/little boy (Solstice wing on Christmas for example, while I absolutely didn't mind the different wing colour it was to be expected that people would get upset about this, considering it's a dragon which can be bred only once a year! And do not get me started on his interaction lack of interaction on the forum, people are wasting their time posting while he cannot be bothered to write). Oops.

That doesn't sound good. Maybe I should check the forums for possibly more information. But wow, I'm really glad now that I decided to abandon all my bred eggs yesterday for the new ones.

All I am seeing on the forum is bitching about the lag, not enough notice on the drop and not enough drop time for the new ones. I kinda agree, because while the surprise drops are interesting, and a sorta return to the original cave rules, I am no longer having fun on the cave now. I am just frustrated trying to catch these new ones.

Oh, all the rares people are posting about, not seeing those either. I spent three hours total looking before I finally gave up to get ready for bed because I have to work tonight.

I wasn't around yesterday so I was fearing I was going to have a hard time getting these, but I lucked out when I started hunting some minutes ago because there was a big drop in the Forest and I managed to get six~

Although I do not play very actively at the moment, I do check DC everyday for news/updates (but reading nothing on the forum except for the news post). Had no eggs so I could take the new ones yesterday morning, I think a few hours after the release? It was very easy to get them, strangely - had 7 within minutes.
From what I read here, I hope they are not rare...I think I can forget about reaching my scroll goals, like, ever...maybe I should minimize my goals.

What are your scroll goals? I need eleven of each breed - four male & four female CB adults, two gendered + one ungendered hatchlings. That's something I have mostly managed so far - with the exception of certain holiday breeds, of course.

I think I need to give up trying to gender my eggs. I wanted a mating pair from each biome and wound up with two desert females and two jungle males. /facepalm
