How is your hunt for Xenowyrms going? Do you have a favourite version yet, or one that you can't seem to catch? Any breeding projects you're mulling over? Any luck trading for them - or trading them away?

I'm still pondering breeding plans, myself, but I've tried a few combinations so far just to see how they look.

So far I'm really loving the Tan Ridgewing X Coastal Xenowyrm and the Desert X Magi crosses! I guess that means I need to work on catching another of the Coastal ones...



Unrelated side note: who is it here that collects S1 Undine hatchlings? Would you like a batch? I have five or six, because my last round of Yellow Undine Lottery was a complete failure!

I caught one pair of each right away, and have been slooooowly trying to catch a second pair of each, but so far have only managed to catch another Desert and another Forest. I think the Desert ones are my favorites, but they're all pretty cool. I haven't done any breeding yet, I'm just hoping to find the rest of my CBs. That seems like it's going to be a long-term project, though.

That's me. :) If you still have them, toss me those gorgeous fail babies!! Man, Yellows have gotten so tough. I did like 7 eggs four weeks in a row and got a grand total of none.

I love them all, the colours are so pretty! My favourite is probably the Jungle version, though.

I caught a pair of each right away, and traded for some Tinsels/Shimmers for four more eggs, and that was it. I've seen them passing by sometimes, but so far I haven't been able to catch any. *sigh*

It reminds me so much of my hunt to get all my CB Coppers, that I'm kinda meh about DC right now. Especially because in addition to that my Sunsong x GoN project gives me refusal after refusal. All of my 4th gens refused each other, even when I switched the pairs! Argh.

Just out of spite I bred all of mine and abandoned the eggs to the AP. Maybe someone will be happy about it.

I've thought about that, but then I figured that if everybody rushes off and breeds as soon as their first round of CBs grows up, the ratios would get out of whack - if everybody's breeding, no need for Cave drops, right?

I think that's why there's always a huge dip in the Cave sightings right about a week after the initial drop. At that point I tend to give up searching for the next couple weeks, because I figure there's really no point.

I did see three CBs pass through the Cave last night, though, so maybe the first breeding rush is wearing off? (I only caught one of those three, alas - but I saw them!)

I love the sprites. I managed to get a pair from the Alpine, Coast and Desert biomes, and one egg from the Forest on the first day, but haven't even seen another one in the cave since. Checked the dragonmarket a few times, but everybody seems to want to trade their Xenowyrms for the ones they are missing from other biomes (or for CB metals, of course), so I haven't been able to get any more.

It is actually the same problem as usual with different colours of the same breed (which seems to be happening more and more often). I don't want an easy game that fails to keep me trying, but I have a life outside DC and can't spend my hours hunting at the cave, refreshing an unmoving screen, so making it too complicated pushes me away sometimes.

gosh the Xenowyrms are so pretty but I'm not even seeing any in the cave anymore. >_< I think I'll take a break from playing and try again in a few weeks.

So far I've seen four this evening; only one of which I managed to catch - but they do seem to be there again, after a few days where I didn't see them at all.

I do think they're not meant to be rare, so it was simply the rush of "pretty release with too many colors" that caused it.

I haven't been able to catch one since the second day, but tbh I haven't tried too much.

As much as I like them, I'm afraid I don't have the patience to hunt right now.

I'm still missing the Alpine wyrms altogether. Caught a pair of Coastals, successfully bred them, and just traded that hatchie for a 2GPB Forest, giving me two from that biome. I have one each from everywhere else.

I have a CB pair from Alpine, if you want purebred offspring.

I am perfectly happy with PB offspring, and will see if my Coastals will put out for you (my earlier catch wound up going to krait).

EDIT: They weren't feeling it today, but I'll be happy to keep trying.

Late here, but since the initial release, I've seen none at all. I had space for 7, grabbed one of each, and doubled up on Desert ones, but haven't seen hide nor hair of them since. Another friend of mine only had 6 slots, somehow doubled up on one of them, and now can't find a Forest one to save her life. *sigh* They're all gorgeous, but without even seeing one, it's going to be difficult to get any more pairs.

Anyone else having better luck?

Meanwhile, I managed to somehow catch a green copper the other day, so now I finally have two breeding pairs.

and congrats on your copper. I think I caught one like that after the Pyrope release. XD
