New Halloweens!

I'm completely in love with the new Halloween release! ♥ I need a thousand. :D Especially the female sprite - that one's particularly gorgeous!

Definitely going to try a bunch of crosses; already did a Pyrope x Caligene and am liking the look of it. Next up: either Turpentine or Golden Wyvern! Would anyone else like to do a 2nd-gen swap, or have you discovered an especially nice combo?


(Also: If anyone has a spare female, I'd be delighted to take her off your hands; one of mine misgendered and then had the nerve to grow up before I could trade it!)

*g* I immediately thought of you when I saw the adult sprites. You mentioned a fondness for the long legged dragons once.

Mine are all already adult or frozen, but I'll be happy to breed you anything you want. I have four adults of each gender available.

Hee, yes, I do love the slinky, long-legged, long-necked ones! :D I especially love the antlers - we don't have enough antlered dragons! (And some of those that are antlered are Drakes, so they can't breed with Solstices, my other favourite antlered breed...)

If only there were male Solstices, I'd be ALL OVER a Solstice x Caligene lineage! (Or, I suppose, if the female Caligene sprite was suddenly switched with the male sprite.)

OMG, Solstices! I'm dreading holiday breeding a bit, because I still want to have all the Solstices, but we have no way of seeing if their wings will turn rosy or blue. Not like the Glory drakes, where there's a helpful Day/Night in the name.

Sure, not problem at all. I don't have breeding plans for them, so they'll probably be free for you anytime you decide.

I'm kind of dreading it, too, because I'm worried I'll screw up and breed the wrong pairs at the wrong time because I'm sometimes dumb like that; but I don't quite get the "no way of seeing" thing -- Solstice wing color is linked to time of breeding, so it should be fairly easy to know what version your babies will hatch out to be? Though I guess if you're a large chunk of change off from the Cave's timezone it would be harder. (Or, obviously, if you pick up hatchlings rather than eggs, in which case it'd be impossible!)

Cave Time: 6 AM to 5:59 PM = blue wing; 6 PM to 5:59 AM = rose wing.

They do seem to be semi-officially called "day version" (blue) and "night version" (rose), too, if that helps you keep track of them better!

During most of the breeding period, things hit the AP at once (7 days remaining), so whatever time you pick them up is the time they were bred. If I can remember to do it ahead of time, I'm going to work out the "time remaining" calculations for each day ahead of time for the later days, so I know when to hit the AP for after-Christmas shopping. :) That way, I'll know that "4 days 6 hours" means "bred in the time window for Rose wings" (or whatever) and will be able to plan accordingly! But we'll see if I manage to be that organised or not, when the times comes. :D

Well, sure, I would know how the eggs I bred turned out. But I get confused so much about timezones that I wouldn't trust people in a trade, or feel confident enough to apply math to eggs I caught from the AP.

With Glory Drake eggs it's easy, because the link to the encyclopedia tells us if it's the day or night version right away. But with Sostices - all that's there is "Holiday Dragon (2013)". That doesn't help me.
