New Summoning Action

So, if you have an adult dragon of each type of the new Zyumorphs, you can summon a Sinomorph. Unlike the GoN, it appears as a gendered CB adult dragon instantly (mine is male). It's breedable, too.

I have no idea how rare or random the Summoning is, but it worked on the first try for me, and apparently you can use this ability only once per dragon-set?

Have you tried it already? It will take a few days until my next set of six will be grown up, then I'll try to repeat the action.

Yeah, they are annoyingly hard to catch. Especially the yellow ones. :(

I got a female with my summon! Was checking the forums, and some people with more than one set of adults have already summoned two Sinomorphs. So it seems we can do as many summons as we have sets of Zyus.

That's what I suspected. *g* I hope my next one is female then, I'd love to breed the two. My first attempt was breeding my male Sinomorph with a GoN, got a yellow Zyu from it.

I'll be able to try for my next one in a little over a day. I really hope to get a male this time!

Summoned my second Sino today, and lucked out -- it was male! So now I have a male/female pair, and I don't have to worry about trying to collect more sets of Zyus.

Have you tried your second summon yet?

Yes, just yesterday! Got a female Sino, so I have my breeding pair, too. *g*

Yay! It's a relief, isn't it? I was really not looking forward to having to collect/breed more sets! Not that I wouldn't like more -- they're very pretty dragons, but so hard to catch now and I'm not doing much breeding any more.

The last two releases have stopped me in my breeding spree, which I had been enjoying very much. But having to catch dragons that I didn't really like, or having it turn out as difficult as it was with the Fire Gems, completely threw me out of it. I think I didn't even log in again until the Birthday.

As far as collecting Zyus gets, I have much less of a hard time than with the Fire Gems. I'm already half-way through my normal scroll goal. I just have to stop getting a certain colour. I never get the one I'm going for, but when I give up and flip biomes, suddenly there's a Zyu and it's mine. *g*

Also, I'm having fun hunting because of some awesome misclicks. Got a Gaia and a Silver, which makes me really happy.

Hm, I had no trouble with the Fire Gems, got my two pairs of each color in the first three or four days. I get bored when the initial wave dies down, which is the problem with Zyus. I just don't have the patience to sit and refresh and stare at the same three eggs for five minutes, just to have them change into three different eggs I don't want for another five minutes. I caught one extra Alpine, and I've barely seen any other Zyus since. But I'm not really trying. I hunt for five minutes then I give up. :) Obviously not going to catch many that way!

My latest project has been to collect 32 CBs - 16 pairs - of each of the dragons that were in the Cave back when I started playing. Which is Black, White, Guardian, Red, Winter, Gray, Skywing, Vine, Stone, Water, Magi, Split, Mint, Pink, Purple. (Not counting Gold or Silver, since neither of the sprites that were in the cave when I started are there any more. Still trying to decide what to do about the old Pinks -- Arias are similar but not really the same. Splits and Purples were tweaked, but they're close enough.) Some of them I already had: Black, White, Red, Gray, Magi. I started on the Guardians right after the Fire Gem release -- it was easy with everyone camped out in the Volcano, hunting red Fire Gems! A lot of people were grabbing Guardians and dumping them to the AP, so I was picking up low-time CBs by the handsful! The ones I still need are Split, Water, Green, Vine, Skywing, and Winter. They're all fairly common and I get a lot of them from the AP. Except the Winters, of course, I'll have to wait till December for them.

I collect four pairs of each type, and it did take me a slightly longer time than I normally need. Maybe because I find them really ugly, and wasn't quite as motivated. *g* And patience is another problem for me, too.

And yeah, I used the time to stock up on CB dragons, too. Doubled the number of Royal Crimson, Hellfire and Gilded Bloodscales. Was so awesome, all the low-time incuhatchable eggs! *g*

I got mine at the first attempt *and* my third Summoned GoN today too. So good luck all around. My Sinomorph was a boy, so not sure if there's any method to the madness of how they get their gender.

I have two more Zyus that need to grow up before I can make my second attempt.

I don't think there's a method. I got a male Sinomorph from five females/one male Zyu, so the theory on the forums that gender is determined by what you have more is nixed.

Congrats on your GoN! Will you let it grow up or will you freeze it as a hatchie? (I did the latter, and I'm still not sure it that was the right decision.)

I just got my second Sino and sadly, another boy. Harumph. I bred them both to Zyus so I can make another set for Summoning. I can't seem to find any now in cave.

I'm going to let the GoN grow up. I rarely freeze hatchlings if ever although I probably should.

I really liked this birthday update, at least in terms of new dragons plus the Platinum trophy. I have nearly 2000 dragons so I am thrilled for that 8th slot.

I still see them in the cave, but I'm too slow at the moment. Meh. Yesterday morning at work it was fine, but then there were not many people in the cave. Especially the Jungle. The yellow ones are the hardest for me to catch, I only have two so far.

I regularly freeze, because I want all the different sprites on my scroll. I'd even freeze eggs if I could. Althoug freezing is not a good idea with restricted stuff like GoNs.

Yeah, I'm pretty excited about this birthday, too. The eighth slot came it very handy already. More room for eggs/misclicks. Of course, I misclicked a Gaia, which yeah, best misclick ever! *g* But I also really like the look of the Zyus. Which is awesome, since I pretty much hated most of the recent releases.

Also, I already entered the Raffle for this month. *g*
