In honour of DC's 15th birthday, a whole wave of new sprites has been unleashed!



New dragon breeds:
One new Floret variety in the Jungle!

One new purple hybrid! (Possibly RoyalCrimson x RoyalBlue? Edit: Confirmed! )

New dragon sprites:

Three new time-based alts for Gemshards! (With one random period in the schedule.)

Two new view-based alts One new action-based alt and one new view-based alt for Sapphires! (Link to Abandoned egg)

Two new BSA-based alts for Cantormaris Wyverns! (Possibly Earthquake and Ward?)

One new BSA-based alt for Electrics! (Possibly Stun?)

One new alt, probably BSA-based, for Nilia Pygmies! (Possibly Fertility?)

One new breeding-based alt for Coppers! (Looks like the original 'untreated copper' sprite that was scrapped before the initial release of the Copper breed!)

Two new alts, possibly breeding-based, for Florets!

So... all the new dragons have to be bred except for the one in the Jungle? Did I read that correctly?

No, I think the new sprites for Sapphire, Electric, Cantor, & Gemshard can all be achieved with CB eggs; they're based on BSAs, views, or calendar time, which affect eggs from all sources.

The new hybrid and the new sprites for Nilias and Coppers have to be bred.

Okay... I think I understand. I'll have to look up and see what the egg labels for those breeds were because it sounds difficult to remember which one goes with which. I'll have to wait for a day off so I can spend the entire day on the cave to see if I can capture some of these.

So far I've got a pair of the new hybrids, a pair of the peach-colored Florets from the jungle, a pair of alt Nilias, and a pair of CB Electrics to be stunned when they hatch. After this bunch hatches, I'll work on breeding the Copper alt and the bred-only Floret alts. I'll probably buy Market eggs for the Canto alts and the yellow Sapphires. Hunting the AP for the pink Sapphires is going to be a pain.

Will wait on the Gemshards till someone else figures out the timing -- they were annoying enough already when they were completely random.

Has anyone figured out how to get the brown Florets yet?

I've got a new Royal hybrid, a peach Floret (Peachlet?), and a Gemshard I got by trading. (And three regular eggs from a breeding project I'm working on, which are taking up scroll space for another few hours). I bred a new Nilia, but forgot I was egglocked so it bounced immediately.

I am mostly concentrating on the CB Florets, since I have seen exactly one Cantor and one Saphire pass by (wasn't quick enough to grab them) since I started hunting. They'll have to be dealt with later, when I'm able to catch some!
