Just sharing this in case you have not seen it on the forums today. :)
Interesting things happen when you breed or try to breed a Turp with a Lumina.
Before breeding:

After breeding:

And since it says "They are vain, always strutting about and preening incessantly; if one of their scales has so much as a scratch or a defect, they’ll remove it. Luckily, their scales grow back quickly, and each new growth is more beautiful than the last." in their description I am curious how it will play out. Will the scales grow back in new colors or will they remain tan permanently. This is pretty nifty! :)
X-posting to a LJ Dragon comm. too, so apologies if you see it twice.

Did you get a Turp or Lumina egg? I got a Lumina. And like you I'm wondering will the hatchies be affected too. I'm sort of rooting for a color change in the adults as well because that would be kind of awesome. And keep me producing mutt dragons to see how many changes the adults go through with each re-growth. Well, if there is a re-growth. :P

Apparently the scales grow back after 24 hours.
