What should I do?

OMG I just got notified that I have won an Honorable Mention prize in this year's raffle!

I don't know what to choose.

Of course, like everyone else, I would love to have a CB Holly, but I already have two Hollies, so I would have to release one of them in order to get another. My first Holly is a messy-ish 10th gen... but I love him and would feel bad sending him to the Wilderness. On the other hand... this is my one and only chance to have a CB Holly, and I would love to be able to breed 2nd gens for people. I could breed pretty 2nd gen commons all year long! And maybe next Christmas I could trade a 2nd gen Holly for that elusive CB silver I've been wanting for years...

If I don't release one of my Hollies, though, I have no idea what to choose. I have all the other Holiday dragons and CB frills and Legendaries and so forth. Probably a red stripe, which would be a fun little anomoly to have, since only TJ has CB colored stripes. I'm sure people would love to have an offspring, although it wouldn't have the same value as a 2nd gen from a Holly.

Aargh! I have to make up my mind soon! What would you all do?

If it was me, I would totally go Holly. Pretty babies, pretty lineages and awesome trade potential. Holly!! :) If I won 1st - 3rd I'd go Prize dragon, but for HM Hollys would be it for me.

And that being said, if you do go Holly..I am not ashamed to be tacky *grin*, and ask... if you start a wait list, I would love to be on it! Not sure what I can offer but I can try, and my whole scroll would be your scroll!

I was so shocked! I know the first round of selections went out weeks ago; he must have had to choose a 2nd round because of not getting responses from some of the original winners. I have been deliberately avoiding the Raffle thread on the forums, so didn't see any announcement (if there was one) that more selections were going out. I totally had to get up and walk around the house with my hands over my mouth making incoherent squeaky noises.

I am pretty much talking myself into choosing a Holly. How could I not, it's such a rare chance. It's a shame I can only give away one a year, I would totally hand out 2G Hollies to everyone here! I will probably want to try to trade the first offspring for a CB silver (unless I get lucky and catch a couple this year, who knows? I randomly caught my two CB golds within 3 days of each other one extremely lucky week last year), but after that I'll probably just give them to friends, so stay tuned!

Good choice on avoiding the thread. There is some whining and a lot of "I never win anything, I knew I wouldn't. Congrats to the winners I guess" stuff in there. I stopped reading after the 2nd day because of it. TJ has been updating his original post with edits. And yeah, that is what happened. He said X amount of people had not responded and he would give them a couple more days. A couple days later he updated again saying he was droping those people and sending out new emails to new people. Which was.. YOU! :)

I'm like you, I get attached to my little pixels. I was still a noob when the Yulebucks dropped in the cave and instead of grabbing 2, I grabbed one then bred it to get my second one. Which was dumb enough BUT I chose a mate with as horrible, messy lineage for its mom. I've had the poor little thing up until last year. A friend offered me a 2G Yulebuck so I had to let mine go finally. I felt terrible when I did. Crazy how it feels that way over pixels.

Okay, I did it -- I released my older Holly and requested a CB Holly prize. Whew! Now I can relax. It was awfully hard to press that "Release" button, though! I get so attached to my dragons. I still have his code so I can go visit him in the Wilderness.
