I am really bummed out -- I'm having no luck catching the new Crimsons (which I just found out about last night) just like I had no luck with the last one (thankfully I got 2 from a kind person on the forum). So if anyone wants to trade any CBs for something, please let me know. I used to have amazing Dragon-fu, but not any more!

I'm still trying, but it's been really really impossible. I've been playing the game for 5 years and never had this kind of issue with new releases!

huh the speckle throated and back when it got out the golden wyvern were killing me. but I'm surprised that a volcano release is stumping me. usually it's the alpine releases. well, and the brine. never got a cb brine. maybe I'm just bad at catching ^^"

I had no luck with the speckle-throated either. Two nice people on forum threads gave me mine (two CB and one bred). I did get the Golden Wyverns but it was very difficult. The Royal Blue ones were easier.

I don't know quite what the problem is for me. I have a pretty fast connection and Chrome used to be great. Now none of my browsers seems to do anything -- there's a lag on IE, FF and Chrome.

It'll all work out eventually, but right now, so frustrating, esp since I don't have a lot of time to try catching stuff at the moment.

sometimes it just happens. some of my best catches happened when I didn't take all my usual precautions, just opened the page and clicked. there's always some luck involved, too. my friend who doesn't even play much caught a crimson on the first try, just like that! :(

Some kind person on the forum gave me a CB Crimson hatchling today which totally made my day. (Of course, thanking them then got me into trouble in the Forum thread and got me a warning so....gah!) And then I *just* managed to catch a single egg right now (4 am EST), mainly because there was a drop of about 4-5 of them in a row.

Of course, seconds later, I got another shield egg that I didn't even click on.

At least I was able to turn that one into a CB vampire...

Now I just have to hope the hatchling turns into a boy since I influenced the egg as a girl.

Hopefully everyone else here will have better luck soon. If not, I'll be happy to try breeding PB ones and sharing.

I am behind with the new release too, as I was without internet at the time, but I'm already working on it.

I generally use Firefox, and switch Javascript and images off when I'm trying to catch eggs, there's less lag that way.

I just missed that there was a new release until 3 days after they started dropping, and even though I can see the little buggers in the main cave, I am no longer fast enough to nab 'em. *sigh*

I've been trying IE, FF and just downloaded Opera w/ Java and images turned off. (Esp since now if you turn images off in Chrome, there's not even a link on DC which is just plain bizarre) The lag is just unbelievable. It takes like 20 seconds for the page to reload, and clicking on anything is like not clicking it at -- again, a good 10-20 seconds before a tab even opens. I'm totally baffled by it, esp when my connection is fast and my internet speed just fine otherwise.

Argh.

Ok, here's another trick: Click using the middle button on your mouse, that way you don't need to wait for the page to change and then go back when you haven't caught anything. Just keep clicking and refreshing till the end of the drop (or till you get bored) and only then check if you've caught anything. It works for me.

I use a laptop so have a trackpad, and either ctrl/f5 or ctrl/R without checking. I should see if a mouse would work any better. :)

I still don't understand why I'm getting such an incredible lag with my browsers though.

Welcome! I've had a bit more luck recently, but the last few years on the cave were sometimes frustrating.

At the moment I'm trying to stock up on common CBs from the AP (awesome, super-low hatching times), but when I try for Crimsons again I'll see if that luck holds.

I am really amazed at how bad my luck has been recently. Including (minutes ago) somehow managing to saddle myself with a Shield Dragon when I wasn't even clicking... why couldn't I have had that kind of experience with a Crimson? LOL

I had more luck with the new release but only because I could try the first day - otherwise I'm lost.
