I just got on a waiting list for a shimmerscale egg on the Forum. Given the rate they've been handing them out over the past 2-3 days, I should have one by Monday.

I'll be happy to trade once it's grown up. *dances*

I don't have one yet but I figure in a year or so they'll be almost as easy to trade for as the Tinsels eventually got. :)

I was patient (and a little obsessive) and got on the list at the Breeding, Gifting Thread on the forum. It's a little nerve wracking to get ON the list, but they're definitely moving very quickly now.

I just got mine about 2 hours ago -- a very pretty bronze. *dances*

Yep, it's over at Breeding, Gifting. It was definitely nerve wracking to get ON the list (I made the attempt about 5 times in the past few days, and kept missing out) but this evening I finally manage it. I got my egg about 6-7 hours later and I'm still in shock. It's a pretty bronze -- I'm so excited!

They really are. I like tinsels, but didn't feel like I desperately needed one until a friend offered me one of her progeny. Shimmerscales, on the other hand, are gorgeous and I Want Them All! (I don't expect to get a gold or a silver for a very very long time, esp when I'm kind of whatever about breeding so doubt I'll have much to trade.)

I was the same with tinsels. XD but with shimmerscales I like the spriter's alt, the original, best and I'm very sad they didn't get a regular release.
