What a run of luck!

Whoa - I just had one of those rare-but-awesome runs of good luck in the Cave! In about five minutes I picked up:

CB Stripe
CB Spring x 2
CB Paper
CB Vine
CB Pink


Too bad there wasn't a CB metallic in the lot, though. *wry face* A CB Gold is my last major hurdle, and I just can't seem to clear it no matter how hard I try!

I think you need to live right next door to the server AND have a superfast connection to catch CB Metals nowadays. I caught a Silver in March last year, the rest of mine I caught in 2008, when it was easier, or I have traded for them.

Congratulations! That is a good run.

Good luck finding your CB Gold! I had the best luck with them later at night when not very many people were on, and nobody was expecting them. I just lucked out and was the first to react to "reflective, almost metallic... HOLY (#$%# THAT'S A GOLD!"

Hmmmm. What's "later at night" in CaveTime? Because it seems that whenever I'm on at night, there are MORE people and LESS chance of catching one! (That'd be, oh, 9pm-1am(ish), CaveTime.)

Hm, well I went back and looked at my records, and it seems I caught my first Gold at around 11 PM CaveTime, and the second at around 7 PM. So I guess it wasn't as late as I thought! I think it was a fairly slow time in the Cave, though, and people just weren't expecting CB Metals. I know I wasn't! I hadn't even seen one in months, then all of a sudden I caught two in less than a week. Then I didn't see one again for almost a year. I think the recent metal boom has got people on the alert for them, so they're especially hard to catch right now.

I haven't managed a CB metallic in years -- mine are pretty much all from 2008 when it was a lot easier to find them (plus fewer dragons to wade through to find 'em).

Right now, I can't even find a CB red which I need for a mate for one dragon -- everyone's stocking up on them for the Week of Dragon Doom, I think.
