New egg!

The Day 1 egg has been released! It's in the Coast, with the description, "This egg has a black cap."

I managed to catch the two I wanted, one on the initial drop (about 5 minutes in) and the second on the :15 minute drop, but boy was it crazy! Over 800 people in the Coast for a while there. But the initial drop lasted for almost ten minutes, so at least there are lots of them dropping.

Glad you got yours! I haven't seen a release like this in a long time... maybe since before the biomes. I wonder if it's going to be like this all week?

It took me about an hour or so, but I got three. Two that I definitely want, and a third I'm debating on. I may not be around on Sat and Sun, so may need it to trade.

Good luck to everyone. It's crazy, but I'm kind of boggled by people freaking out on the Forum because they haven't caught anything after only an hour. *sigh*

Congrats on your three! I was originally thinking of catching three or four and gifting the extras, but after struggling to get two, I decided to call it a night.

I know, I rolled my eyes a bit at the complaints. It happens every time, though, so I shouldn't be surprised!

I was encouraged that the initial drop lasted so long -- makes me think they'll be fairly common, so it won't be too hard to catch a second pair later on.

I caught some for my mom last night, and wound up with four without trying (for some reason, Firefox was suddenly better than Chrome). I got two more, and then gifted them just now since a friend didn't have any. I'm just happy to share the love when I can.

I expect things will settle down a bit as the week goes on... at least, I hope so! I know a lot of people locked themselves with the first night's eggs -- they'll either have to sit it out tonight, or drop/gift/trade their extras, so there will be more to go around. I think some people are planning to catch the Day 1 eggs tonight, while everyone else is going crazy over tonight's eggs. Should be interesting to see how it all develops!

We'll see how it goes. Tonight didn't seem to bode well, although it's better now. I will have an open slot in about an hour and even though it's stupid o'clock, I'll probably try to snag another one to gift to someone later on today. Otherwise I'm egglocked too.

It sounds like there's no eggs dropping anywhere else so the Blackcaps aren't available at the moment. I assume that once the week's over, they'll all be dropping again in their respective biomes. I'm still worrying about Saturday and Sunday since I won't be around, but hopefully I can rely on the kindness of strangers.

I caught two, but had hoped to catch 3 (one for trading later, in case I miss a few somewhere down the line).

I was also planning to pick up an extra or two, but it was hard enough to catch the two I wanted to keep, so I left it at that. Hope to go back later and pick up another pair, but for now, one pair of each will be good enough.

Got my two. :) I wanted to snag extras to gift but that didn't happen. I went in at 11pm my time/2am cave time and it was still crazy in there. I missed getting anything on the hourly but got my 2 at the :15 drop. At that point I called it a night. Man, I hope there is some hybrids in there because this is madness. :P

Congrats on your two! Same here, I was planning to gift any extras I caught, but it didn't happen. Maybe as the week goes on things will settle down some? We can only hope!
