It's in Volcano biome. It glitters oddly in the light (or something like that). Missed the 12 am drop and haven't seen one at the five minute drops yet. Have a bad feeling about this one. :-(

Probably. It's just weird cos that didn't happen last night, and tonight it's constant crashes with the forum.

Still haven't caught one and given that today EVERYTHING has gone wrong or been FUBAR'd, I am not that optimistic. Will keep trying for a few hours though. *sigh*

Being forced to hunt with Javascript on has totally destroyed my ability to catch anything. 2-3 seconds of white screen after every refresh.

Same here. I just opened over 100 tabs at the hourly drop and got NOTHING. I am totally envious of people claiming to have 4-5 of them. :( I'm not officially freaking out yet, but this really does suck.

Just logged in for the day and everything seems to work fine for me. Saw one at the last five minute drop, but wasn't fast enough.

Just smashed the hell out of my keyboard for the hourly drop, opened over 100 tabs (and several browser windows due to them freezing up while attempting to refresh) and...nothing.

Not a happy camper right now.

I've had much better luck at a later time yesterday - around ten in the morning in my timezone, which is about 4am DragCave time, think. So, not giving up hope yet. *g*

I just got two within 10 minutes, so I'm almost there. Snagged one at the 1:55 am mark, and then one out of like 200 tabs for the hourly drop. *thud*

Now I just have to try and nab two for my mom if possible, as well as a third for me to gift later. Very very frustrating tonight though.

Well, my workday has just started, and I'm going to be online for at least the next seven hours, so I'm not all that worried yet. *g*

It's nearly 2:15 am here, and I still have to finish packing up orders for customers cos I need to go to the post office sometime tomorrow. I'm leaving for a trip (thankfully just to New York City, so just a train ride vs. driving or flying) on Friday afternoon, and won't be home til Sunday, so this weekend's drops are going to be...interesting. :p

I just put Adblocker on Firefox, and it made a world of difference. Sheesh.

I have adblock on my computer at home, but at work - not a chance to modify anything. So I'm actually used to the current "speed" (haha).

YAY! I'm waiting to be un-egg-locked so I can catch one for gifting if possible. Might not happen as I'm exhausted and may not have the patience to deal with waiting.

How in the hell are you opening all those tabs? Still got nothing and I've tried in Safari, Chrome and IE. FF has decided not to work on any of my comps, so I am guessing I am screwed for these releases.

Chrome and Ctrl-R at the same time. I just am clicking like a mad woman, usually on the same egg if the page doesn't refresh. Chrome usually works best -- I can't even stay logged in on IE anymore. The latest FF release seems marginally better than the one I had before yesterday which was just horribly and ridiculously slow. :(

Have you tried Opera? I've had some luck with that on my Netbook which is slower than molasses.

ETA: I just got a fourth one, so if you cannot get any, let me know and I'll send it to you. Otherwise, it'll be gifted over at the departure thread. :)

I'll try it. Someone else also told me to try later in the day, so I am going to attempt that as well.

I'm going to attempt to catch my own but if that doesn't happen, I'll let you know and I appreciate the extra catch.

Click with the scroll wheel instead of the left mouse button. That opens a new tab automatically and you can stay on the site and keep clicking. Works for me at work - my mouse at home is too old for that.

I wish I could do that, but I'm on a laptop and my mouse doesn't have a wheel. So I'm relying on finger speed.

Since they made Javascript compulsory yesterday evening, the lag has been unbearable; pages take forever to load, I have a blank screen more often than not, and everything keeps freezing.

I honestly can't remember if I had java on for FF yesterday. I can't turn images off in Chrome anymore because you can't even see a link anymore, so I don't bother. Switched to FF to see if it would help, and the lag is 100x worse. I don't know what the point of making java compulsory is. :p

Ad revenue apparently. I understand that Dragon Cave is a free game and TJ wants to keep it that way, but surely he could allow javascript off in the biomes? It's not like I am going to click on ads when I am competing with 700 people for eggs.

Exactly. I just added Adblocker to my FF (I have it already on Chrome) because I can see that there's a lag every time one of the effing banner ads comes up. I never click ads on his site anyway, so there's no point, and now I'm just plain annoyed.

(it's been a bad day, and the inability to catch eggs so I can do what else I have to do tonight is not making it any better. *whinge whinge*)

Thing is, I've been paying the $5 a month for the ad removal subscription -- I don't see ads on the site anyway. But Javascript still slows down the page loads so much it's almost impossible to catch eggs. So what the heck am I paying for?

I finally caught three, too, in the :45 and :50 drops. I think the crowds finally thinned out enough. But this is really disheartening. It's no fun hunting with endless white screens and lags. Bleah. I sure hope TJ changes his mind about the Javascript thing.

LOL I just got one at the :55 mark and one at the hourly mark (with like 200 tabs open -- that was just stupid). I'm hoping the crowd is thinning out a bit. It looked like there were "only" 300+ people in there now vs. 500 earlier.

The javascript thing bites though. I keep getting white page lags in between refreshes. The Adblock on Chrome does help though. We'll see if it works on FF as well.

to me, today was easier than yesterday. Unfortunately missed the 7 and 8 AM drop with the little ones in the house, but got them at the 9 AM drop for both me and my brother :-) (40 minutes ago). I'm happy. Next week won't be so easy, then I have to go back to work, so monday and tuesday will be interesting.

It definitely got easier later on. I've just had a very bad day and things seemed more laggy and difficult, so I was taking them as omens. So glad to see I was *wrong*. :)

I am going to be away Friday afternoon through Sunday afternoon, so not sure what Sat and Sun are going to look like for me. I'll be happy to try and pick up extras for you on Monday and Tuesday if I can.

Right now, I'm waiting for Day 1's eggs to start cracking already. *pokes them*

I went in at 11:15pm PST and managed to lock myself for once. I use FF, the Tree Tab add on, Ad Blocker and my scroll wheel for clicking. I F5'd like a crazy woman and was actually shocked when the drop ended to see that I had maxed myself. I'm gifting the 3 extras.

This drop was a lot easier then day ones drop. Hopefully tonights is the same, or a Hybrid.

What does Tree Tab do? I am on a laptop so using a mouse is harder than the touchpad (plus no click wheel), and use Ctrl R since the placement of my F5 button is a killer on my hand (so is the R, but it's lower down).

Tonight's drop (Friday) was a lot easier. I got two for me, and my mom got one. Just waiting for another egg to hatch so she'll have two and I go go to bed.

Just worried about egg sickness now. I've never had this problem before, and it's popping up like crazy. I don't have that much time to monitor things for the next few days so...eek.
