Day 3 Release

Desert biome and has "an exotic scent". Looks like there's no diamorphism. No idea how easy/hard it is to catch yet since I was egg-locked at the first drop (and out of nowhere, my nearly-ready-to-hatch eggies suddenly got sick so they're currently fogged. Thankfully the first egg just popped despite the sickness...phew!) Have been trying on the 5 minutes, but so far, nothing. Drops seem to last a bit though, unlike yesterday.

Egg looks pretty though (black with a reddish pattern on it).

ETA: Just got one at the :25 minute mark, so they seem to be easier than yesterday's.

I got one on the :25 drop, too! Only one so far. I'll give it another hour, then I'm off to bed.

I got a second one for me, so I'm done for now (plus egglocked again). My mom got one too. I'm just really worried about this sickness thing. My black cap ones were *fine* until about an hour before hatching, then suddenly soft shell, and now they're sick hatchlings. They were only on one site (Silvi's) too.

I've got them hidden, but am terrified they're going to die on me. I'm going to be away for 2 days without a lot of time to be online which really worries me about being able to hatch anything.

I caught a second one at :55, and a third a couple of minutes into the second hourly. So I'm done for now.

Sorry about your hatchies! I hope they get better soon. If you caught them right away when they got sick, I think they should be okay.

One is fine now, the first one I caught (which did hatch) is still sick, so am hoping it'll go away soon. The numbers aren't *that* high, and it's so bizarre that they got sick so close to hatching. Usually they seem invincible if they've made it to the 4 days and only a few hours left mark.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

I'm still trying to catch one last one for my mom since she's egglocked right now, and tomorrow's going to be crazy busy (workmen coming at 8 am to redo our bathroom, then I'm off to New York City to spend the weekend with an out of town friend), I just want to catch one for her now, then transfer later. However, the little buggers are suddenly being very elusive.

So happy that it's at least somewhat easier tonight.

I got mine quite easy today, both on a 5 minute drop. Got a third one, when one of my day 1eggs hatched, now I'm done until tomorrow.
I have had sick eggs too :-( They're fine now, but I keep a close watch on them - had them fogged all night, didn't want to take a risk.

I have three now as does my mom. I am probably going to give away one of mine later today, esp since I decided to keep all four of Thursday's releases given that they're two-headed and I'd like to be able to breed them.

So far, the sickness is all gone, but that was scary. Esp when I won't be able to monitor them that well after this afternoon. The last thing I want is dead hatchlings or eggs just because I went out of the house and did things for a day or two. :-/

I had sick eggs, too, just about an hour away from hatching. Grr. They're fine now, but I'll keep a close eye on the others now.

Got mine fairly easily this time - they don't look black/red on my computer, though, more dark purple/pink-ish.

ETA: Also, TJ's got three eggs up - doesn't that usually mean dimorphism for the adult sprites?

Thankfully all the sickness is gone now and they all seem fine. I took down everything from any of the sites, and just put Thursday's eggs in my LJ in a vain hope they'll be okay to hatch late tonight so I can try for Saturday's eggs in a timely fashion. My mom's last black cap should've hatched hours ago, but didn't actually pop until I went to check on it at 8 am my time. Harumph.

Today's still look light red and black to me -- the hatchlings (which are adorable) look sort of light red too. Must be my screen? :)

Yeah, I'm not sure what I was thinking in terms of no diamorphism. Definitely a male and female hatchling at S2, same at S1. My brain's no longer functioning.

I'm at home now and my screen here is set rather light - looks like purple/rose to me, here. Weird, huh? But I guess that explains why people talk about blue and brown Dorsals, when I see them as purple and red.

My black cap eggs were sick on and off yesterday, but I have to admit that I had then in high traffic places. I hid them for the last six hours, unfogged them right before I was going to hunt for the new ones, and they hatched inmediately. They seem to be ok at the moment *crosses fingers*.

I didn't think mine were on such high traffic sites, but it seems like they all are much higher than normal now. So yeah, gonna have to be really careful until Sunday night. Hiding things for the last six hours is probably a really smart idea. Hopefully I can manage this all... gotta get my two-headed red ones cracking. :)

These, again, were easy. I got 5 at the 11:05pm PST drop. So, I'm locked again. People seem to be filling up pretty easily as I could not even give away the 3 extra I had yesterday. I ended up AP'ing them last night. I have a really slooooow connection, so if I can catch them this easily I'm wondering if TJ is flooding them intentionally, so everyone that wants them can have them. A birthday gift to all. Sure been nice to see less whining in the threads. *grin* But a shame if they all end up being commons.

Since I have 3 extra again I'm not sue what to do. I REALY love the look of these, especially when I enlarge them. The color and design on the egg is super pretty. I want to have 2 pairs so badly, so I incubated/influenced 4 of them and will hope like hell it is Hybrid night tonight, cause I don't want to drop all 3 spares. :/

Also, that does leave one extra so if anyone hasn't caught any, and would like it... :)

Yes the 5 minutes drops have been lasting a full minute these days. I guess it must be to appease everybody that complained about not being able to catch with javascript (me included). I have installed adblock and it seems to do the trick, but it is a shame that I have had to block ads for the whole site when before I only did it for the biomes, and only a few minutes at a time.

I am really interested in the two-headed dragons, I wonder if they'll breed with the blue two-headed. Today's hatchlings look really cute, just like kittens, although pink cute kittens may be a bit of a cuteness overdose. Not too keen on the black caps, they have no detail, and seem smaller than pygmies. I hope the adults look better.

My son had two extra eggs and he traded them for a red hatchling. He hadn't noticed before that he only had three reds in his scroll!

Yeah, and it kills me that TJ pops into that thread, comments and locks it. He does that a lot. But it wasn't answered and that was not helpful. I see it got brought up again in TLQ, so I'm curious if he will answer properly this time. Probably not since people can reply to him in TLQ.

The caps are.. odd? The males have socks, the females are really vague looking. As you said both are really un-detailed. Maybe as adults that will improve. The Arsanis were not great as hatchies but I really like the adults. The two-headed are really cute and like you I'm hoping they will breed with splits. They need some diversity in their lineage.

If you son wants more Reds when all the dust settles I have a ton and can breed him some 2 or 3Gs if he'd like.

Also, I wanted to check if anything new had been added yesterday evening (UK time) so, to avoid going through a lot of posts and threads I used the search function, I typed in javascript as a keyword, set it for posts from 7 days ago and newer...

Don't worry about the reds, serves him right for not listening. His sister has bred him two that should hatch tomorrow and I'll also breed him some after all these stop dropping, but thanks for the offer. :)

I also noticed the 5 minute drops lasted longer, I caught mine all in the 5 minute drops, quite easily, never had that before!

How many Reds do you all have?; I have 12 - not enough for the whole period. And I already ran out of pinks :(

I think I have enough reds, considering that I shouldn't need to incubate the last two days of the drop, but I am not sure about the pinks. Well, at least the pinks can influence again after a week, so pinks used on day one should be able to influence again before eggs from days six and seven hatch.

Also, if the hatchlings don't gender the way you want them, check the Forum thread Hatchie didn't gender right? Trade them here. Just as it says, it is a thread to trade hatchlings for the same type of different gender. I am sure that a lot of people won't have enough pinks, so this thread can be very useful.
