Thinking about Valentines!

Not to mention Rosebuds and Sweetlings!

It's rapidly approaching Valentine breeding time, so I figured I should go ahead and post the Valentine breeding possibilities, to see if anyone's interested!



Valentines:

Valentine #1 -- will probably breed to a CB Deep Sea, but am open to suggestion
Valentine #2 -- long but clean lines; no assigned mate

Rosebuds:

CB Rosebud x CB Pink
CB Rosebud x CB Daydream
CB Rosebud x CB Spring, Sunrise, or Flamingo
CB Rosebud x this 2nd-gen Spring x CB Rosebud

Sweetlings:
2nd-gen Sweetling x CB White
almost-stairstep Sweetling x CB Pink

Not all of these are possible together, so I'm going to go by whatever -- if any -- people show the most interest in. :D

If I could convince the PTB of DragCave of one thing, it's that breed limits need to go up by one each year after release...

It just makes sense, right? :D

That's a great idea! Might be a good compromise if TJ doesn't want to lift the limits entirely. I would definitely second such a suggestion.

It seems to me (given that Holidays generally produce multiple eggs per breeding) that this would not be too much to ask, or abrogate the "don't be greedy, pass them on" implications of the breed limits, while allowing people to slowly build a breeding project or breed section on their own scroll!

Even if egg production were cut for some reason down to one each... Pick up two when they're released, then next year breed them both; keep one egg and that still leaves one egg minimum being autoabandoned to spread the love.

I am certain I've proposed this at least once on the forums in a thread somewhere -- with the alternate suggestion that perhaps the limit could go up in the second year if not the first (to encourage giveaway breeding when the breed is rarest). Never did get round to making an official "I would like to see this/I am suggesting this" thread in the appropriate Forum section, though. If you want to do so, please by all means go ahead (and point me to it so I can loudly second you)! :D

anyways I hope the valentines will be easy to catch. the current release is frustrating. :/

AAARGH, current release! *Growls* It is indeed very frustrating! I NEED four thousand golden wyverns, and I need them right now, because they are SO PRETTY and I don't even like most gold things!

Urgh. Valentine is the one holiday release I have the hardest time with.

but... isn't there a two dragon limit? it worked well for christmas.
of course if the release is only on the 14th it's still a problem as I'll be working all day and evening. :(
I don't even remember how I got my sweetlings. did I catch them myself? were they gifted?
