Er... Hello?

So... I've been feeling a bit meh about dragoncave lately, but I am getting back in the mood now. I didn't pay much attention to the last two releases, but I think I've managed to catch up now... well, except for the Two-headed Lindwurms, but those seem to be a bit rare, I'll get my quota of caveborns eventually.

I picked several caveblocker eggs yesterday at the Jungle and then decided to have my vampires bite a couple, hoping they would be turned and kicked out of the nest. I tried it four times in a row and got four vampire eggs that stayed on my scroll. Is this the new normal for vampires? The eggs were just caught, still on cooldown, in case it makes a difference.

Anyway, is anybody interested in a Vampire egg? One of them was bitten by my original 2008 Vampire. This one's gone now.

ETA: Ha! I have just bitten another freshly caught egg and I got another Vampire in my scroll. That is 5 out of 5. It could be because we are nearing Halloween, I suppose.

I haven't tried in ages, but wow, that's some success! As for the Two-headed Lindwurms - the blue ones are fairly easy to catch (you can even find CB eggs on the AP sometimes), but I'm definitely having a harder time with the green ones.

I got a few blue Lindwurms through trade, but haven't managed to catch any myself. As for the green ones, no luck with those yet.

Wow, that's pretty good! I haven't tried biting in quite a while, so I have no idea if that's normal, but going by how often I see vampires in the AP I think it's not.

I would love a vamp bitten by an original-release vamp!

The blue Lindwurms are pretty easy (come to think of it, I haven't seen one in the Cave in the last couple weeks!), so although I need a couple more I'm not too worried about them. The green ones are super rare, though! I FINALLY caught a second one (only grabbed one green at the release - even then they were hard to get!) and now I have a (hopefully) breeding pair. Now to see if they'll make me any eggs...

I haven't seen enough Lindwurms in the Cave to consider them easy, but I managed to get three of the blue ones through trade and I don't have any green ones yet. Perhaps I'm hunting at the wrong place or time. I managed to catch a CB Copper instead, so that makes up for it.

I'm still behind on the all off the releases, just can manages to catch them on the times I'm online.

Yes, so many releases require a lot of dedication to the Cave. I would probably enjoy it more with a release every two months or monthly releases of just one breed at a time. That would allow for space to catch the dragons I want and some time for breeding for lineages in between releases. I think the week long birthday release, and then the multiple monthly releases are what made me disenchanted with Dragon Cave - too much pressure for me, I am afraid. Only now that we are having a bit of a respite am I getting back in the mood.
