Per TJ's post:

These eggs follow the phases of the moons.
Not sure what phase it is? Find out here.
https://dragcave.net/help/time

This metallic egg shows faint iridescence in moonlight.

Alpine, desert and volcano

I am so confused. Not sure if I should grab and lock, hold off, argh.

Well, if he's going by regular moon phases, the colour should change every seven days, right? But with his own world, who knows - he's free to do as he wants, and having two moons doesn't make it easier I guess.

Uhm, I don't know, I understood it differently. Both moons are in the same phase, aren't they? So, one colour for waning, one for new moon, one for waxing, one for full moon. Well, we'll only see once the first different colours pop up in the hatching sites, I guess.

I'm using Blackout, too, and I would love to have a clock there, as well.

Yeah, I'd like your version better than mine. Because if he keeps to a seven day phase, then the last colour would be dropping immediately before a new (September) drop. Or maybe he's going to skip that one.

But yeah, two colours for waning, two colours for waxing, that would work just fine. Maybe one colour drops during daytime, one during night time.

Almost completely OT rant, feel free to ignore

I'm just going to sit here and laugh bitterly for a while...

I was supposed to be leaving for Burning Man in the morning. A couple of days ago as I was doing prep, I randomly thought "Wouldn't it just figure if TJ dropped new eggs while I'm off the net?"

My husband and I made the very difficult decision about an hour ago NOT to go to the event this year. He was in the hospital earlier this month, and is simply not bouncing back from the trip the way either of us would like; I've been dealing with massive separation anxiety as a result, and was having real trouble trying to figure out how I was going to fulfill my volunteer commitments out there without falling to pieces wondering if he was okay back at camp.

And then I log on (since I'm not sleeping ANYway tonight) and see that there's been a new drop.

As I said: Bitter, bitter laughter.

EDIT: And then the first two eggs I caught had our initials as the first two letters in the codes; I'm trying to decide if that's cheering me up or not. Influenced and incubated those, caught and influenced a breeding pair from the other two biomes, as well.

...and then I completely forgot that the Cave existed for 48 hours in the stress of trying to cancel all my holiday plans, and my incubated pair are now ER. /facepalm

I got six (all golden) easily and now I wonder if I should have waited a little in case the blue one is available soon... but mostly, I'm not happy of another release with many alts.

Me neither. I never managed any other CB xenoworms.

I just checked now after checking around midnight my time. It took a while for them to show up. Annoying that in less than 12 hours, there were plenty of other eggs mixed in.
